Authentic Mexican Rice Recipes - Simple Mexican Rice

An easy to make Mexican rice with tomatoes, the traditional flavor and spices.

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 cup of cooked rice long

1 teaspoon garlic salt

1 / 2 teaspoon ground cumin

1 / 4 cup chopped onion

1 / 2 cup tomato sauce

2 cups chicken broth

Directions

In a large saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add rice and cook, stirring constantly, until puffed rice and gold.

In a large skillet, sauté onion, garlic and rice with canola oil until the onion is soft and the rice is opaque. Add salt, cayenne pepper and vegetable broth in the pan. Bring the liquid to boil. Cover the pan and take the heat to a minimum. Boil 20 minutes or until all liquid is absorbed.

Add the vegetables and tomatoes. Cover and let the rice sit for 5Minutes. Turn off the fire. Sprinkle the rice with green onions and parsley.

This is a nice cast iron pan by the Rachael Ray line of products. The orange enamel exterior and silicone handle add a nice touch and complement our other Rachael Ray cookware. My only concern is that we have a ceramic cooktop. I've read that using cast iron on ceramic cooktops is not recommended because the high heat produced can cause cracks or even shatter the cooktop. I'm wondering if this is true so if anyone can add to the review, I'd be interested in what you have to say. Overall, this is a great cast iron pan, and definitely one of the nicest we've used.

Add cheese, stirring until melted.

Pour into pot 3 liters.Top with crumbled corn flakes. Bake at 350 degrees until hot, about 30 minutes.

How to Make Delicious Authentic Egg Rolls

Want my secret, know-how authentic delicious spring rolls? When I grew up in the Philippines, in our family courts often again and again, and it is impossible to learn to do it if we continue to do so many times. The recipe which I am, is one of my favorites, and is not something you see in the restaurant, because each has its own version, how to make a judge.

First, you need a fresh lumpia wrappershould be thawed at room temperature when it is frozen. Obviously, the lumpia wrapper that you will use later, wrap the filling. For the filling, you can use one or two pounds of ground pork or ground meat, fresh or thawed, and then add another half pound of fresh shrimp chopped. The choice is yours if you want pork, beef or chicken, as long as the ground is not frozen. The only difference is that I can add to my recipe, shrimp, and some people are allergic to shrimp soYou can not use the shrimp. They also broke the shells of shrimp and add only the juice from crushed shrimp shells. Please do not include tanks, but the sauce more flavor. You can also add ¼ cup of chopped onion, two yellow onions or onion or Chinese, you can skip entirely to you. Then add the minced water chestnuts, also known as singkamas for texture. I was thrilled when I found this. It's just the thing for steaming fish and dumplings, and I figured I could put it over my stewpan, and use it as a strainer when pouring liquid from the stockpot. It's also made in the USA, which is certainly a feature.

The first time I put the steamer in the dishwasher it turned a dull gray, however, and an email to the company confirmed my fears. The steamer is made of rolled aluminum.

If you don't mind using naked aluminum as cookware, this steamer is relatively well made (a tiny bit sharp edged), and reasonably priced. The discoloration, the company assures me, is harmless. If you DO mind using aluminum, however, this is not the steamer for you.

This skillet does not have the helper handle as shown in the photo. The best I can say for it is that the color is nice. I have a glass cooktop stove and the skilllet does not sit on it evenly. It rocks when set on a flat surface. It might work well on a gas stove. I will be returning this item.
